Please Help! My drive won't format DVD+RW media

Thanks for you help in advance.
I have MEMOREX Dual format DVD burner drive and I am using Nero Ultra 6.0 and InCD (also updated newest software from their web site). The drive does NOT format any DVD+RW media. I tried Memorex and Verbatim. It just gives some error messages.
However, it formats without any problem if I use the bundled software, which is Roxio software. But I don't wanna use Roxio.
Any idea why this is happening.

PS: I checked memorex web site , and no formware update for this drive.

If your Nero is up to date, try different erase modes (ie: Full erase or quick erase). Additionally, try erasing on different speeds so you can isolate where exactly the problem is.

Also if you have access try using Nero 5.x.

From your post though it looks like Nero/Drive incompaibility.

Try updating Nero to 6.0.0.19.
