CD's not autoplaying in windows xp

hi there its a long time i visited this board
well ill rather get down to my prob
well i have windows xp on my sys a p4 256 ram a writer a cd rom
the prob is that suddenly my cd's have stop autoplaying i.e whenever i pop in a cd which has a autoplay function the cd does not autoplay ive tried adjusting the fuctions of the cd rom s but still nothing
please help me out

Go to Device Manager->CD-ROM->Properties and enable Auto Insert Notification.
