I was thinking about that last night. I have not chucked the drive, maybe I'll try to clean it. I have nothing to lose, right?
The drive has been out of warranty for only a month!
I still want to look at buying some new burner's. I want to make a dedicated CD burning station with maybe 2 or 3 identical drives. I burn a lot of CD-r's, maybe 75-100 at one time on a very regular basis. Before anyone asks, it's nothing illegal.
. Mainly audio demo's for customers that want to get their music out there. So, having a reliable setup is a concern. That is why I usually have an extra burner on hand.
