Plextor 708A and Mount Rainer

Postby plexboy on Thu Oct 23, 2003 7:27 pm

I was just wondering...Not that I use the feature any, but, I notice that alot of articles and forum pages show nero tools and Plex tools info pages and they show that the 708A supports mount rainer, however when I look at mine, it doesn't. The box IS checked when I look at my Plex Premium so im sure the system senses it....Just wondering....

Plextools Pro 2.07 and Nero Infotool both say Mt. Rainier is supported. I have a PX-708A with firmware 1.03.

Since support for Mt. Rainier isn't available in Windows yet, you will need a 3rd party program like DirectCD or InCD. DirectCD supports CD-MRW (Mt. Rainier for CD-RW discs), but not DVD+MRW. InCD 4 supposedly supports DVD+MRW with some drives, but its not fully implemented or something. I don't know all of the details.
