Can ASUS E616-P Boot ?

Hey all,

I just bought an Asus DVD E616-P drive, and it seems that it can't boot any bootable cd on startup.

My config is this:

Primary Master - Western Digital HD
Primary Slave - Asus DVD E616-P
Secondery Master - Lite-On CD-RW x52

The weird thing is that when I configure the Lite-On as my Primary slave it can boot properly.
The DVD just hangs for a while when searching for a bootable CD and then it fails.

Any Ideas?

No

Well, it sounds to me like that drive just doesn't work with bootable CDs.

BTW, have you tried more than one bootable disc?
