where are you located? if you live in Canada thebn www.blankmedia.ca is a good source of cheap/good quality Arita DVD+Rs, otherwise, if you live in the U.S. maybe shop4tech.com might be a good idea. If you don't live in Canada or the US then I can't help you.

You only need to worry about drive regions if you are buying DVD movies from other countries.

On my Liteon 411 drive, Taiyo Yuden (Thats) DVD-R 4x gave me good results. Hence most of you will be burning relatively lesser DVDs comparing to CDs, always try to invest on the best media out there.

Cheers.

good cheap media

Why do people always use this particular oxymoron?
Most any Ricoh DVD+R should work fine. The Fuji 2.4x (unrated for speed) and Memorex 4x are often on sale and will work great, expecially if burned at 2.4x.

I agree with rdgrimes, the Memorex 4x burned at 2.4x performs very well! :D

I agree with dolphinius_rex, the Memorex 4x performs very well, even at 4x.
:D
I can also recommend FujiFilm 4x DVD-R media. Great quality, never had any problems.

I live in the U.S so i guess i will look for one of the brands mentioned.
How about some of the generic DVD media would that be a bad idea.

I am new at this so i am asking a lot of questions.

Well most brands are still based on Ricoh technology. Ricoh 4x media is prety okay these days. There might be a batch of lower quality still overall Ricoh does perform good.
