and pick up an IDE cable. Powered up. Windows 2000 recognized the drive, and off I went burning DVD's, and backing up data. 
Ran into a couple problems with the Lite-On discs: 1) burning a data disc while playing music on my other DVD drive froze the screen?
2) Record Now software ran into Drive Letter Access conflicts. Ejecting and re-inserting didn't work. Rebooting the PC worked somewhat. It resolved the DLA conflict, however Record Now couldn't get the disc "ready" to burn. 
So I put the discs back in the box.
The Memorex +RW's worked flawlessly. Having fun with the drive. My computer has one more CD/DVD bay. Can't imagine buying another DVD drive?
