XP native burning: only one drive can be active?

Postby Coyote on Tue Oct 14, 2003 1:49 am

I just added a second cdrw drive and WinXP Pro, won't allow me to enable burning for both drives. I go into the Recording tab of the drive to enable burning and enable it, but then it disables my other drive.

Does the native burning only support one drive to be enabled at a time?

I've noticed the same thing, but I prefer using Nero or some other CD-recording program due to the lack of features in the Windows XP burning software.

okay thanks. I use Nero too, but was just curious why I could only enable recording on one drive with native burning. Must be a limitation.

Must be. I don't see what the purpose of that limitation is, though.
