Thanks, so I only have to upgrade to the latest one right? Or do I have to upgrade them in succession?

You needn't flash in succession.

Sorry, eliminator:
I had found it, but just meant that not everyone would be able to find it, by checking the URL that pops up at the bottom of the browser window when hovering over the links.
Thanks though!

I upgraded the firmware of my 52327S on Saturday, a drive which I have yet to use, since I just installed it over two months after buying it.
I have been doing mostly DVD burning for some time now, but I have
a few ideas of what I could burn to CD-R to test the LiteOn.
Burners only:
Pioneer DVR-115D
Pioneer DVR-111D
Plextor PX-716A TLA0304
Plextor PX-716A same TLA

okay, i've downloaded the QS09 firmware from liteon's site. I tried to execute it after using a bootdisk to DOS. Says "This program cannot run under DOS" or something to that effect. Strage because on liteon's site it says you CAN run it under DOS. I guess I will run it in windows.
Also, is there some way you can check what firmware version you have through windows?

Thanks!

Actually, you have to run it under Windows. Only programs like MtkFlash work in DOS.

Yes, you can check what firmware you have through Windows. You can do this with Nero InfoTool, which is free.

You can also check the firmware version under Device Manager in windows.
