Hmmm... Didn't it used to be a big plus? It's the first thing you mentioned in your reasons for buying a Plextor Premium, and was listed as one of the four "Pros" in your personal Premium review:

I know you hyped Plextor's 8 MB buffer in other posts as well, but can't be bothered to search for them all.
So, let me get this straight. A 2 MB buffer on an 8x DVD burner is nothing to be concerned about, but an 8 MB buffer on a 52x CD burner is a big plus? Even though 8x DVD burning has a higher data rate than 52x CD burning? Curious... I wonder what has changed since your earlier posts and now... Your change of opinion wouldn't have anything to do with the fact that back then the latest Plextor drive had an 8 MB buffer but now the latest Plextor drive only has a 2 MB buffer, would it? Nah....
