Cendyne Rebate Fullfilled

Postby pchilson on Sat Sep 13, 2003 12:13 am

Semi approiate for this forum.
Today I received my rebate check for my purchase of a Cendyne (LiteOn) 52x24x52 CD/RW drive purchased on July 9. The rebate was not fullfilled by Cendyne but by OfficeMax. It was clearly stated on the check that Cendyne has gone into default and OfficeMax was making good on the rebates to retain customer loyalty. I commend OfficeMax on their decision. They also apologized for the delay of the rebate fullfillment.

Thanks for posting this, Pchilson! By the way, welcome to CDRLabs! :D

I also must commend OfficeMax for doing fulfilling the CenDyne rebate; they have been very good in my experience, too! :D

I got my rebate, but, have been trying since Feb 2003 to get it to record.
Finally called Office Max after finding out Cendyne went out of business
and they gave me a Microadvantage replacement and my first disc formated with DCD.
Thank you Office Max.

One person on another forum mentioned that even his OM CenDyne check with the special note bounced.
I had deposited mine (with the same note) earlier that day before reading his post; I have my fingers crossed.

Postby liteonrules on Mon Sep 22, 2003 9:38 am

YES, I TOO GOT MY CENDYNE REBATE BACK FROM OFFICE MAX ,BUT CHECK THIS OUT, I PAID 69.99 FOR THE BURNER AND I WAS TO GET BACK 20.00 FROM CENDYNE AND 50.00 FROM OFFICE MAX. EVERYBODY NOW KNOWS THAT CENDYNE WENT UNDER AND OFFICE MAX DECIDED TO TO PAY OFF CENDYNE'S REBATE. OFFICE MAX INSTEAD SENT ME 30.00 AND AND A 50.00 AND FINAL COST OF THE BURNER MINUS 10.00.

OFFICE MAX IS AWESOME.
