So let me get this straight. He doesn't work, doesn't have a computer, but makes his daddy and grandmama buy him expensive optical drives so he can show 'em off here?

I'd like to see you go to school all day, do a shit-load of HW at night, and still have time for a job.

BTW, I do have a computer, I am on it now, it's an HP ze4401us. It was a gift.

And for your information hox, I paid for BOTH Premium drives, I charge to my Parents and Grandparents Credit Cards, and I ALWAYS Pay my bills before the bill is due.

I don't buy Optical Drives because they are expensive, I buy them because I always go for quality, if I want something, I want the best, or the best that I can get while still remaining in budget.

No. He just said that he paid for his drives himself and that he does have a job and a computer!

I have a job that I work at during school breaks, but nothing during school.

I did pay for my two Premium drives. I do indeed have a computer, and I share a computer with my dad (I use it most of the time) and I did pay for some of the parts in there. I also have the ze4401us.

That would be it. I get a nice wage considering my age, and the benefits are very nice. A drive to work, paid lunch, free shipping, etc.

That's good to hear. Sorry about razzing you. Consider it payback for all the PM's you send me when you're home during the summer.

I have this problem before , but the problem seem to be gone after I updated my drive's firmware . Have you tried that ?

I did use the QS09 update but it still won't read. The 2nd drive is here now, though not installed yet, was just thinking i could bring the drive back2life instead of just throwing it the bin.

Thx 4 da replies!

well I have no idea of how much those drives would cost here but i'd use them for those general tasks like making backups of my own data, protected pc games...
