LG 4040B and media

I upgraded my LG to firmware A300 the day I bought it.

My results so far with media have been mixed.

I have had spotty results with Verbatim DVD-R (2x).
-7 good burns, 4 bad. This is a very disapointing ratio.

Memorex DVD-R (2x) .
-3 good none bad.

Memorex DVD+R
-10 good, none bad - awesome!

.....I'm going to write some soon with some MAXELL DVD+R.
The package claims 4x, we'll see.
