flashfix downloads

hey guys just wondering how to open the flashfix firmware. i downloaded it but its asking me how to open it? any ideas how? thanks.

What is the name of the file you downloaded? It may be that the file is compressed, and you don't have the necessary program to open it.

hey cd, it was actually a link that you posted last monday i just clicked on it and then it asked how do u want to download the file and i think i clicked on open.. am i suppose to click save?? hmm.. im lost.. :cry:

please help...

OK. When you click on the link, click "Save" and save it on your computer. Then, you will need to use a program such as Aladdin Expander (freeware) to expand the file. The file has been compressed into Zip format to make the download size smaller.

To install Aladdin Expander, download it in the same way as you downloaded FlashFix. Then, double-click on the file once it's downloaded and follow the on-screen directions. Once Aladdin Expander is installed, double-click on the FlashFix file that you downloaded. Then, the FlashFix program will be expanded. Double-click on it to run it.
