How to identify DVD-R Blanks ?

My friend found a place to get some DVD-R blanks.
He told me the guy said there Princo DVD-R 4X but there white on top...
NTI - the dvd program i got with my burner tells me i can fit 4.438G on it. nothing else...
Is there a software that would tell me what these blanks are ? like read the id or something?

This program will tell you all the information regarding your DVD burner and media.

Trust me, there isn't a single manufacturer out there that would KNOWLINGLY put Princo's name on their product. However Princo is well known for illegally using other manufacturer's ID codes to make their own media appear differently or better.
Punch Cards -> Paper Tape -> Tape Drive -> 8" Floppy Diskette -> 5 1/4" Floppy Diskette -> 3 1/2" "Flippy" Diskette -> CD-R -> DVD±R -> BD-R

Yup this is the program to use. It will tell you everything you need to know about the media, drive and more.
