Windows XP CD Burning Software VS. Roxio & Nero

Hi. Which is the best of the three to burn with? Thanks, Craig.

Roxio is probably easier to use than Nero, but Nero is definitely my favorite because of all of the options it gives the user.

WinXP's burning software has very few features; my advice would to be to just use Nero.

One can use the Nero Express wizard in Nero Buring ROM, which is easier than the Burning ROM interface and probably comparable to Roxio.

Good point, I hadn't thought of that. I guess I didn't remember since I never use Nero Express or the Nero Wizard.

The Nero Wizard is great, and I'm not just saying that because we share the same last name. :)

Whatever you do, craiger, stay away from the built-in XP burning software; it doesn't offer the functionality of Nero or Roxio.

If you're in line at the soup kitchen often, WinXP's built-in burn function for writing documents and picture files on CDs work just fine, although a bit slow.

That depends entirely on what systems you will want to read the disc back on! That format is very unstable and incompatible. I wouldn't recommend it under any situation personally. I'd rather chisel a round stone disc with pits and lands than use WinXP's burning function!

I use Nero, but it is all a matter of preference. However, as everyone here has mentioned, stat away from the Win XP Built in CD Burner Software.
