Nobody will be able to beat that :)

TEAC 40X 8 MB
LTR 40X OC to 48X (1 month old, will probably sell it today) 2 MB
LTR 32X (brand new sealed and going to sell it this weekend) 2 MB

that long for a 52X

http://www.auction.co.kr/cooperative/de ... A001225349

16MB Mitsumi OEM (Marantz Korea with 1-Year warranty) 32/10/40 for 78,000 Won (about US$60) including shipping and 10% VAT. Quantity: 2002. 48x writers cost twice as much in Seoul.

So... maybe Mitsumi needs to clear its 32x inventory rapidly.

It is Mitsumi 32x which has been in the US market for long (cheap!) though I prefer the front bezel of Marantz drive more. :D

Avg. 5 MB

2 MB on Ricoh MP7040A
8 MB on LG GCE 8400B

Folks,

Dell is still shipping LG GCE 8400B's with 8MB buffer. I order this machine in the last week of July. Maybe LG is still supplying them with 8MB buffers.

Two burners, one with a 2MB, the other with an 8 MB. 10 divided by 2, is 5. So I have a 5MB Buffer!
