problem with BTC DRW1004IM

I just buy a burner BTC DRW 1004IM
no problem for connect with Windows XP
nero 5.5.10.33 reconize it immediatly

i have a problem when i want to write on DVD-RW : DATAWRITE DATASAFE and
PRINCO (white face) X1 =>
ERROR OF WRITE - ILLEGAL MEDIUM

with a DVD-RW TDK X1 no problem also an DVD-R ESPERANZA X1 or the DVD+RW
X2.4 (in the box of burner)

You could update to Nero 5.5.10.42. If that doesn't work, you might consider updating the firmware of your drive. You can get it at BTC USA's web site. In fact, it appears that they released a new firmware update today! :D

Also useful to note that the Datasafe/Princo media is not the best quality, and many writers, particularly on early firmware revisions, have problems with it. Try a better quality disc, such as Ritek or Verbatim; this may sort the problem.

i download it and execute it but now the BTC don't read any DVD but read CD.

it can be dammaged.

Which file did you download? Also, try turning your computer off for 1 minute, and then turn it back on. You sometimes need to do this after a firmware update.

Hi

Can anybody send me the firmware file??? i´ve only found the software to change the firmware but no file for. I searched everywhere on the web but i´ll only get the software without file.

Or is it the file dual38.hex??
