Frustrated Newbie

Hi. I'm fairly new to dvd/vcd video burning, but I have to say that after about 3 weeks of galliant trying I have yet to figure out how to burn a video dvd using Nero 6.0 Ultra. It seems there are more plug-ins than there are features in the product. I've tried .avi, .mpg, .asf files all to no avail. Nero says Vision express comes with ultra - I have yet to find this. When I go to burn and avi file as a vcd, it wants to convert it, finishes, but then hangs. What do I have to do to get a video dvd? I'm tired of guessing. I figure someone here has the answers.

You can get Vision express from here. You then enter your Nero 6 SN to get rid of the pop up when you load it also to disable it from shutting down after 30 days.

Go to make DVD then select DVD-Video and follow throug the creation menus.
