Burning a .tao file

Hi there. I just installed Isobuster (freeware mode) and extracted a data CD using the 'Extract CD <content> --->extract user data' option. The result was a file with the extension .tao. How can I burn this .tao file so that I get the structure of the original CD? I tried Nero's 'burn image' option but it didn't work. Will CloneCD work then? Thanks.

It sounds like all you want to do is make a copy of a CD-ROM disc. You don't need IsoBuster for that.

If the disc is not copy protected, any standard CD-R burning program will work to make an exact copy of the original. If the disc is copy protected, programs like CloneCD or Alcohol 120% may be used to defeat the copy protection.

I'm sorry I didn't make myself clear. I used Isobuster to recover files from a damaged CD..I did not choose to make an .tao file.

The TAO image file can be extracted with IsoBuster. Open the TAO image and select the data heading below Track 01. Extract it to a location of your choice. You can then burn the extracted files to a new disc.

Unfortunately, if the original is damaged, the extracted files may contain errors or be incomplete.
