Flash TEAC DV-W50E to DV-W50D? Add +R?

Hi,

Have a store need-by which sells the Teac DV-W50E which only does -R/RW.

I was wondering if the drive is the same as DV-W50D and if it was flashable to DV-W50D?

Anyone tried this?

Anyone have a Teac DV-W50E and looked inside?

possibly, but it isn't possible to "upgrade" a A05 to a A06 either.

Exatcly! You can't update a A05 to A06 and vice versa, so the same goes for rebadge products... ;)... In fact, right now, I don't know any single burner that can be upgraded to a dual burner with just a single firmware flash... Now that we spoken on this, i actually don't know a sinlge burner that can be updated to dual at al... :D:D:D:D... unfortunally... :lol: :lol:
