Optorite HDBurn Problems

I am having trouble with this burning option. I have tried both Gold5 and Nero6 but neither one is working for me. I upgraded to the latest version of Gold5 like the Optorite site recommended but no luck. It is giving me an ATAPI Error when I try to simulate the burn. Not sure why. Then when I try to use Nero I get a power calibration error. I am using Imation CD-R.
Unfortunately I don't have any other CD-R to test it on so I can't determine if that is the issue or not. Does anyone have any suggestion? I don't know what else to try. Oh I also have upgrade to firmware 2.11 hoping that would help but no cigar.

So far HD-BURN will only work with Taiyo Yuden disks(i.e.Fuji,TDK,Sony).

dun think so. my maxell 48x works flawlessly.
