How fast is too fast?

What is your personal view on the Liteon 52x CD-ROM drive, this is the model LTN 526D drive which I bought recently for a new PC (AMD) that I'm planning to build soon.

Also how good are their DAE ? Is this model I mentioned above fairly new?

Not sure how different the LTN-526D is from the LTN-526S, but the DAE of the LTN-526S is 30.9X, according to CD Speed.

That depends, how much of a stickler are you for DAE? There are drives out there which do DAE faster than the LTD-526S. If you don't need to have the absolute fastest DAE drive then the LTD-526S/D will do just fine.
