Postby gomcse on Mon Jun 09, 2003 3:23 am

Hi guys,

I am planning to get either oen of thr burner;

(1) Lite-On DVD+RW/-RW: (LDW400D) Retail for $ CAD 388 plus tax

(2) Sony DVD+RW/-RW: (DWU-10A, the OEM pack of DRU500AX) for $ CAD 400.00 plus tax.

May I know which one should I get ??

Since the DW-U10a is an OEM product from Sony, so that means Sony will not provide any support for it (so that means no official firmware on the Sony's page).

On the other hand, Liteon's DVD+-R/RW drive is also a DW-U10a OEM but at least you can do RMA directly with Liteon or call them for any problem.

I would go for a Liteon.
