Sony drx-500ul +safedisk

Please can anyone tell me if the Sony DVD drx-500ul will do safe disk 2 and upwards or do i have to keep my liteon 48x12x48

I would keep your LiteOn. DVD burners aren't known for their abilities abilities to get around copy protections if you want to make LEGAL backups of stuff you own.
