Why do they call Wednesday hump day on the radio?

No i do not listen to the radio. I had to listen to it sense it wasn't my chose.

Because it is the middle of the work week. Picture the work week as a hill: Monday it goes up, Tuesday it goes up higher, Wednesday is the peak (or hump), then it's downhill on Thursday and Friday.
