Postby Domdom on Mon Jun 02, 2003 10:13 am

Hi there

My burner is a Matshita 740 that is able to burn at 20X but Nero only reports a 16X speed! why?
is there anyway to force that?

Thanks

Sure I did ....
With or without blank cd, my burner is recognized as 16X not 20X !
as if the burner was not properly recognized :-(

Nero experts ? any ideas ?

I am not asking you to switch to another burning app, but do other apps (Easy CD Creator, NTI, etc.) see the drive's 20x speed properly?

Also, was there a time when Nero saw the 20x speed, or has it never worked properly.

Also, have you updated to the latest version of Nero, which is 5.5.10.35? You can get the update at www.nero.com, and I would recommend downloading it if you haven't already done so.

Well I can confirm now that EZ CD Creator can burn up to 24X !

No I didnt upgrade to 551035 but I doubt it would work better because my UJDA 740 Matshita has been "supported" by NERO for a while, it would be a damn coincidence that after so many months, just this version would fully support the drive.

I would guess that this driver is not well recognied by Nero but I dont know anyway to update this apart from upgrading the whole software. And Ahead hasnt replied yet to my mail for support.

What version of Nero are you using? It is possible that a bug in your version is causing your problem. Anyhow, the update's free, so I think that you should give it a try! :D
