Proper Burning for audio files?

Postby omega on Fri May 23, 2003 2:08 pm

hi

I know it was posted before but i can't find the thread. Someone was posted the correct way to burn audio files (mp3-wav files) using Nero. Somthing about DAO enabling i forget... Can someone tell me one more time or direct me to the thread of burning audio cds using Nero (latest version). I don't mean step by step. I know how to convert the mp3's to wave and load them in nero. I simple want to know the BEST settings to use when burning audio cds in NERO.

Sorry, don't have that thread but I just wanted to say that you should burn in DAO and I think DAO96 if you want to read/write cd text. Be sure to finalize the audio cd for better compatibility with players (if you don't want to add more tracks later).

Other than that I don't know of any settings for burning audio.

Also, were you wanting to overburn?

You should burn in DAO mode when you burn audio CDs. You don't need to convert MP3 to Wave before burning; Nero can convert on-the-fly as long as your computer isn't slow.

What CPU and how much RAM do you have, omega?

It's on the burn tab where U select the speed & whether 2 close, simulate or burn

U get a choice of Track at Once, Disc At Once or Disc At Once/96

Hope it helps

You may not see DAO/96 for all burners, but most seem to have it. Out of my five burners, only the 8x8x24 drive in my notebook doesn't support DAO/96.

Hmm... Nero Enterprise. I wonder if that's different from the regular versions of Nero. That might be why our explanations aren't making sense, but I'm not sure.

At least in the regular version of Nero, there should also be a drop-down list (on the Burn tab) with a label next to it which says, "Write Method". You can choose Track-At-Once (TAO) or Disc-At-Once (DAO) from this list. For best results, choose Disc-At-Once and click the "Finalize CD" checkbox.
