The license for many bundled programs isn't valid when they are sold without the drive they came with, and many bundled programs only work with the drive they came with.
That’s right. I had a problem one time installing a bundled Nero that came with my cousin's LiteOn. I just wanted to upgrade mine since her installation cd had a newer version; that would have saved me downloading it from their website.
