MSX: Your Windows drive is stuck in PIO? That is probably why you can't burn faster with your Benq. See the FAQ forum for tips and tricks to enable DMA, even if Windows wants to force the drive to run in PIO.
Hoxlund: No offense, but I like to get "good deals" on products because, at least for me, money doesn't exactly grow on trees. Besides, when I really need a high-quality burn (i.e. one I want to last for a long time), I will use some not-so-free media that is higher quality (such as Fuji). I am not opposed to paying more for better products, but I think that it wise to save money in ways like this if it won't hurt me in the long run.
