As far as transfer rates go, *DUAL CHANNEL* DDR-266 and RDRAM 1066 are the same.
Latency is a bit lower on RDRAM.
But, Intel has dropped RDRAM support totally and gone with dual channel DDR. Their new chipset has an 800MHz FSB, using two DDR-400 chips.

They have???
I love RDRAM. I have PC800 and it's plenty fast, in my opinion.
I have nothing against DDR. I have another machine that uses it - P4 2.53, 512 DDR (unsure of the DDR frequency), but I think my RDRAM outperforms it (casual observation, no benchmarks).
