DVD media test results - media analysis?

OK, I've watched this forum for a long time, but there's no real place for DVD media test results to be posted and easily retrievable (the forum search is somewhat buggy, so I can't find the posts easily.) I have an external Sony multiformat, and I'm trying to determine the best/cheapest media to use - can someone help me out here? I know about Riteks, but not the others commonly seen on the meritline / allmediaoutlet sites.

Have used Meritline's 4X DVD-Rs with DRX500ULX without a single problem. And just recently, Verbatim DVD+RW 2.4X to backup older hard drives that I replaced recently. Absolutely no problems with Verbatim which Sony recommends. I have no media tests to relate, just the practical experience of using the medias described with positive reliable outcomes. Hope this was helpful.

I Have also used Meritline's 4X DVD-Rs. Which are really Ritek. And no problems yet. also been using Apple Media, using HP +RW media and some other brand that burned at 2x
