My friend's old laptop computer went defunct when it was dropped from a height, the LCD monitor is fine and I am wondering if there would be a way to salvage it and make an adapter to go to vga or dvi. Also, about how much power do those things consume? (For a power adaptor) I have an old VGA video card that i might be able to take apart too.
I'm thinking the screen would be great for a tv cabinet or something. or to carry into second hand shops to check out the computers for sale.
