Thanks for the Bargain Burning

Thanks to the contributors for the info on recent hot deals.

As a result, I returned two 30 packs of TDK (Ritek) I had recently purchased for $9.99 each. I then bought (Circuit City, Best Buy, Staples, CompUSA) 250 Maxell (Ritek) and 140 Fuji (Taiyo Yuden), a total of 390 top quality CDR's for $26.89 (after $90 in rebates).

The icing on the cake was the 52x Buslink (Liteon LTR 52246S) purchased at Best Buy for $19.99 (after $50 in rebates).

A state of the art top value burner and 390 high quality CDR media for a total of $46.88. I wouldn't have believed it was possible if I hadn't done it!!!

I recently bought my neice a LTR 52246S at OfficeMax for her birthday. It ended up costing me a whopping $13.

I finally got some TY's, which seemed difficult to find until I started hitting the Hot Deals section. They look so immaculate that I almost hate to use them, lol.

Hi, Ian. Yes, the blanks should last me a while. The timing was perfect though, as I had used up all of my high speed media.

I had stocked up like this once before and it seemed like they would last forever, but not so.

At an average CDR media cost of less than 7¢ each, it makes sense to take advantage of these values when they are available. If a person does a lot of burning, even at an average of one disc per day 390 discs is little more than one year's supply. The shelf life of the media is far longer than that, so intermittent media mania is maybe not as excessive as it may seem.

Glad to hear that people are reading and taking advantage of the hot deals. There are many contributors, but I would like to give a special tip of the hat to BuddhaTB who consistently goes through a lot of work to post nice listings of the weekly bargains.
