Noob needs help.

Just got a LG CD burner and DVD combo-CGC-4320b- and am having
a little trouble burning a CD. When I installed it
WINXP recognized it OK but when I try to use Nero 5 I can only choose Image recorder.
In choose recorder it only has “image recorder”
I have never used a cd burner before so I would really appreciate some help.

Have you updated Nero to 5.5.10.15a?

Also check in Nero toolkit for Info Tool and see if it detects your drive.

According to Ahead, your LG GCC-4320B (not CGC) is supported by Nero 5.5.3.5i and later; it is also listed in the database for the latest InCD 3.52.20b.

Did you install Nero from a CD that came with your drive? If yes, which version?

As burninfool suggested, you should download Nero 5.5.10.15a from www.ahead.de (and InCD 3.52.20b as well if you need it). If your current version of Nero is not too old, you needn't remove it before installing the latest version; otherwise, use Control Panel | Add or Remove Programs to uninstall the old one first.

If you still have problems after the upgrade, more information will be needed about your hardware (IDE connection, etc) and software (other burning programs installed, ASPI layers, etc). Recent versions of Nero make Nero InfoTool available in Start | Programs | Ahead Nero | Nero Toolkit.

I just downloaded the Nero upgrade, I had to delete my copy before I could install it, so I think the new copy of Nero might will find my drive.

I have uninstalled the Cd burner but I will give it another try tomorrow as I don’t have the time tonight.
