Lite-On DVD writer?

Hi all,
I've heard rumors on other forums and searched the web but can find no press releases.
Anybody got a link or an insider leak?

It's hinted that Lite-On will have a dual drive soon..... Just like Sony's DRU-500 drives....

Looking forward to it. Rather not spend $300 for a 500AX.

According to this website http://www.digitimes.com/NewsShow/Article1.asp?datePublish=2003/02/26&pages=PR&seq=206, Sony and Liteon already form strategic alliance. I think that is true. Anyway I got that link from cdfreaks website.

It is true as true as any web information can be. DigiTimes is one of the world's most respected and often-quoted web sites for Asian computer/IT industry information.

There will be Lite-On DVD writers but nobody yet knows when they will be available to the end users. I can only guess: April.

Lite-On's DVD±R/RW drive is to ship this month so the link below says ! I don't have anymore info on it at the moment, but you can see from the link below that it looks like Lite-On have been getting ready with a drive since late last year.
