Sony DRX-500UL Working Disks?

What disks do actually work well on this drive? I have a friend that has 25 disk spindle with Legacy DVD+R (dont know this particular brand) and I was wondering if it would work on my Sony.

This subject may have been discussed before. I'm not qualified to speak on the subject of performance or compatibility issue(s) in regards to your friend's spindle of DVD+R media.
