Those Evol's are pretty expensive considering they are already coming to the U.S.

As for the CTR (Civic Type R), where in the world are they getting left hand drive versions? I thought UK and Japan used right hand drive.

bto, this forum needs a chat room or something, so we can just talk instead of posting all these replies right after each other.

I don't think phpBB suppots that function yet, maybe a future mod.

Sadly, but MSN messenger is the closest thing at hand to me.

I personally don't use MSN at all. My AIM is always on and I use Yahoo messenger sometimes. But for AIM, people need to let me know first, so I can put you on my safe list.

I use MSN for two main reason:

Laziness, came with XP. And had some previous bad experiences with other chat programs....the yahoo one messed with a lot of stuff in the computer.

I guess the choices aren't that good :( .

AIM? you use AOL? or just their porgram?.

Just AIM. I use cable broadband.
AOL products suck ass. I'm sick of them sending me those free AOL CD's

I agree with you about Yahoo messenger, I rarely use it much since no one is ever on.

At least those pesky AOHell CDs make up as good coasters around the computer and/or entertainment center....specially when having those long GT3 sessions. :D

Oh cool, another Racing game fan.

PS, I have Auto Modellista on pre-order (along with Zelda) :D

Just recently due to space problems and other things, I took the plunge and bought an adapte to play my PS2 on my computer monitor. Works great. Besides, it was an excuse to start GT3 over....but already have a tuned R34 and NSX -R. :D 8)

Sounds good. I wanted one of those adapters when I was living in the dorms, but I have a 13" TV to play PS2 on. How much was your adapter?

Hopefully we can race each other online when Auto Modellista comes out.

R34 is still my favorite car in the GT series too.

About $239.99. It is the Xrgb-2 plus. Bought based on many favorable good reviews and its supoort for the D-terminal standard which is comparable to component video.

It is good overall...love to finally see in detail the calipers on the cars.

Auto Modellista might force me to buy a PS2 network adapter...no game has lured me into it. Hopefully GT4's internet downloads will finally seal the "deal" with me. Just imagining downloading new tracks, cars and parts is a cool thing. Hopefully they will finally develop Bodykits, even if its only from the same company's Motorsports division (Nismo, Mugen, etc). Or at least from the best Japanese companies (Blitz, 5zigen, etc).

My feelings exactly. I haven't been tempted to buy the Sony Network adapter yet either. I was also thinking about getting a cheaper USB network adapter not from Sony, but still have to look into that.

Body kits from their motorsports divisions would be sweet! I just hope they consider Veilside when doing body kits.

I would be satisfied with any addition of bodykits (useful ones, not rice-box style).

From the current crop of consoles, I think the best online plan goes to Microsoft, from the beginning they explained how it would work. Plus I've seen many satisfied users (gaming forums).

I'm thinking since GT4 will have downloads it would come with it in a package or something similar, besides, by the time it is released would that 40GB be cheap enough?.

I think only with that linux kit...the one you had to order directly from Sony.

The other advantage to it is that some games use it as cache, ala Xbox.

Plus my friend said you can store stuff on the Xbox's HDD like music and files. Then you could play music without having the pc on.

It is pretty cool what you can do with the Xbox, a friend has it along with Sega GT 2002, and you can play your music in the background.

That would be a good function for GT4, playing my CDs, well the essentials, while racing with a R35 GT-R or finally, a 350Z tuned up.

PS, My friend also has this game called Splinter Cell. Man, what a great game....in my opinion, better than MGS. It is a well designed stealth game. Plus it has lots of cool gadgets.

Yeah, I heard Splinter Cell was really good. Waiting for that to hit PS2 also. Ever since GTA: Vice City came out, nothing else godo has been released for PS2.

I am awaiting for Vice to hit PC this april, just to continue the tradition, as I have GTA3 for the PC, mainly due to MP3 support and better graphics.

Although, I might buy the PS2 version when it turns into Greatest hits and costs 20 bucks.

There is a chat room mod for phpBB. I can't think where it is though, let me look... I'll edit this post when I find the link.

Here is one: http://www.phpbbhacks.com/viewhack.php?id=510

And here is another: http://www.phpbbhacks.com/viewhack.php?id=154

I don't remember if I have used either of those before. Whatever one I used was very cool :)

Yeah, $20 for Vice City is a very good deal.

By the way, I'm typing up the Hot Deal threads as we chat.
