What is probably the best Lite-On burner(s)?

What is probably the best Lite-On burner?
By Best, I mean the one that is most stable and most reliable. I know there are quite a few firmware versions as well for each model. Which one goes best which which one?
There are quite a few different model of lite on burner out there. I don't mind buying the most expensive one or the latest one. But could someone share with me their feeling on what is the best model so far?

I think if you are going for a 48x, then why not go for a LTR-48246S which has the same chipset as the 52x, is much more easily overclockable, and is said to have better writing quality than the 48125W.
But if you care for speed, you could just go for the 52x. It's pretty cheap and looks like an awesome drive.

In general, I have found that to get the best write quality from any brand of drive, it's a good idea to get the fastest drive they market, then only run it at a much slower speed (say 16x). The media compatibility is usually 100% when you do this, but only very few 16x writers can write well to virtually all media at 16x, because they're working at tolerance a lot of the time.

So in LiteOn's case, the 48246s and 52246s are the best drives IMHO. I have not come across a single media type that doesn't work very well, with low C1 error rates at 16x with the 52x. And of course you're only really doubling the write time by doing this -- worth it if you're not in a hurry

In my area LTR-48125W costs 70 euro /LTR-48246 costs 90 euro and LTR-52246S-110euro

I think I will go with Lite-On 52x for my personal use.
Jase's comment makes good sense to me. I have no trouble waiting a few minutes more for a good burn. I will buy the fastest drive and use it at a lower speed.
