Verbatim DVD+R 4x and SONY DRU500

I found Best Buy is carrying Verbatim 4X DVD+R at $99 for 50 discs.

Anyone have any experience using this brand on the Sony DRU500 burner?
IMHO 2 bucks for a 4x media it's not bad.

it's ok to use. however not sure if you'll really get 4x with it though.

I have already sold my Sony DRU-500A to one of my friends who wanted it. For a little under US$300.

I could test only two Verbatim 4x DVD+R media with NEC ND-1100A though. Alright at 4x writing.

I also gave him one of the three Verbatim 4x DVD+R disks so he will probably test it with DRU-500A.

When I go to the BestBuy ad, it says they are 2.4 + not 4X.
