Hi,
i recently got a firewire Yamaha crw2200fxz (20x10x40; i bought it new, but i think it came out in 2001) for my macintosh g3 laptop. based on reviews, i bought a spindle of 50 Mitsui silver unbranded 74m cdrs. ive burned about 25 audio cdrs from my own original CD collection. before burning, i meticulously cleaned off the source CD before making the burn. all burns were done at 8x or 16x.
to my horror, i realized that about 2/3 of the CDR tracks skip or dropout when i play them on my new Denon 1800f professional CD player.
whats going on?
numerous posters have mentioned that they test their CDRs, and ive heard about 'C2' errors. how do i test my CDRs for errors? im using NeroMax to burn my CDRs, but i also have Toast Lite and Discribe. however, none of these seem to have any testing capabilities. where can i download test software?
should i just go out and buy a whole new spindle of CDRs by a different manufacturer? argh! so frustating.
any help you can share would be appreciated. thank you so much!
jon
