Any Reviews on the Sony DRU500AX?

I am looking into buying my first DVD-R/RW drive and I was wondering if most of them will burn both DVD-R/RW and DVD+R/RW? I know the Sony DRU500AX does, but I don't know anything else about it. Has anyone heard or read about it either positively or negatively? If you could recommend a better drive that would also be greatly appreciated. I am looking for a DVD-R/RW in particular because I think they are most compatible. Thanks.

no.
most DVD burners do not burn both +R/RW and -R/RW media.

the only ones that do both plus and minus formats are the Sony DRU drives and the new NEC drives. other than these 2 all DVD burners are single format.

dodec... he's asking about the AX. It hasn't been reviewed yet and no one seems to know if it's a slightly reworked drive or just one that has the latest firmware built in.
