how do you burn a .bin file

Postby mooseboy84 on Thu Jan 01, 1970 12:21 am

i got a .bin file thats 714mb, at first i thought it wouldnt burn because i have taiyo yuden 24x and i did a burn test on one disc and didnt get that much extra time, anyway, i got the file and used nti cdmaker to burn on another disc and burned it in "custom mode", but when i put it in the drive and tried to access it, there was nothing on the disc. it had no files. the cdrom said 714mb disc, but it was absolutely empty. i dont know how to burn a .bin file. i remember reading an article on this site by somebody talking abut burning a .bin or .cue file because the data was more accurate, but anyway, i have 2 .bin iso's that i need to burn and dont know what program to use burn it. thanks.

If you look a little higher in the forum under GHOSTMAN an VCD BURNING
I am having the same problem. I can`t burn a Bin without the corresponding cue file. Read the info that has been given me in the forum
Its useful

My assumption here is that you have a cue file with the bin file. If that is the case, then you should be able to use a wide variety of programs to burn. If the bin is a multi-track bin file, Nero will not be able to burn it correctly, so that's something to beware of. If you want to use CDRWin (a personal fav of mine), then just make sure you have the latest version (3.9C), and it should recognize your writer.

And yes, you should look at Ghostman's threads on bin and cue files. I've left some additional info over there. Ask if you need more help, that's what it's all about.
