I had seen firmware updates that can be used to to increase the speed of the burner such as 16x10x40 to 24x10x40. Does any one know if there is a firmware update that will work for the LTR-12101b 12x10x32 that will increase it to a 16x?
The 12101B was in itself a "factory-overclocked" 8101B. In other words LiteOn made two drives with the 12101B design, the 12x and 8x. The 8x was overclockable to the 12x. After that, they changed the design so unfortunately it isn't possible.
