Any Opinions on the new UltraBurn External DVD Burner?

Postby DaveL on Wed Jan 29, 2003 11:44 am

I am building my first computer (Shuttle SN41G2) and I am considering a DVD burner. Since I have limited drive bays and since there are multiple DVD formats, the UlteraBurn Plus by Firewire Direct looked interesting. Here is the link.

Any initial thoughts on this? I am concerned about buying a product that is so new. Thanks in advance, this is my first post and I really appreciate your site. You convinced my to buy the new Samsung CD-RW DVD combo drive.

Package includes: FirewireDirect ULTRABURN Deuce (featuring the Sony DRU-500A) in an External FireWire (or Combo w/ USB v2.0) interface. Includes full range (110-240V) power adapter, 6Pin/6Pin FireWire Cable, USB v2.0 Cable (when ordered in "Combo" interface) and users manual. [If host system is not selected - no software will be sent]

So ther you have it, it's a Sony DRU-500A :)
