ADVDinfo "Could not Create device list"

After recently moving my Sony DRU-500a to a different pc, I got the message "Could not Create device list" when trying to run ADVDinfo. I reinstalled the ASPI drivers & made sure the program was in the same folder as the drivers. How can I fix this problem?

After some research, I decided to update my SCSI driver, even though I don't have a SCSI device. This fixed the problem.

Thank you for sharing the solution, even though you had to figure it out for yourself. Someone else may find your posts useful.

By the way, from what version to what version did you update?

The new version is 5.0.2183.1 from microsoft. I don't know how to find what was there before.
