which dvd burner?

hi everyone its my first post could you guys help me out. i want to buy a dvd burner for doing movies and for gaming like pc games and playstation2 and xbox you know everything! which is the best for this? oh by the way can i get external with firewire and usb2.0 ? that doesnt really matter please help me thanks guys................barbiegirl. :P

If you want a drive that can do a lot of things in both formats I would highly recommend the Sony DRU-500A. The review of this drive can be read here.

As for the firewire and USB2.0, there are some external versions of DVD burners that support both connections. You just have to look through the different products offered by the manufacturers. If you don't find an external model to your liking, you can always buy an internal one and put it into an external drive case that supports firewire and/or USB2.0

the same Sony DVD burner BuddhaTB recommended comes as an external version too, i think it's called DRX-500UL.
it comes with both FireWire and USB2.0 connectors.

these drives are very difficult to find, but there's a new version just coming out DRU-500AX (internal) and DRX-500ULX (external). apparently they're the same drive (just a newer firmware). hopefully the availability will increase.
