I have a BCE4012IM drive (which i was dissappointed to see was not supported on BTC's website
). And I recently started having problems with it. It would get partway through burning and then just stop and give me an error (I cant remember the exact error, and i didnt save any logs, but i think it had something to do with the buffer [not buffer underrun though]). I could still hear the drive going and the light was still blinking as if it was burning, but it wasnt still burning. To try to fix the problem, first i updated my aspi layer, and when that didnt work I tried updating firmware. I tried both of the ones listed for 40x12x48x at
http://www.teclast.com/qcxz.htm, and neither was recognized as a CD-R drive by Nero. Unfortuneately i messed up when i thought i was backing up my original firmware, and I dont have it anymore
. Does anyone have some other things I could try? Should I try overclocking to the 4816? underclocking to the 3212? I just want my burner to work again
Thanks for any help.
