Lite-On 48x12x48 and 48x24x48

What do you guys think about this, I think alot of retail outlets are tricking people since the speed numbers are so similar. When did the 24X come out ? I know the 12X was around June 2002, I bought my 4125W in November 2002 and it was still the 12x and now I find out that a 24x exsist around the same time ...that pisses me off !

The Lite-On 48x24x48 has been out since late July, early August 2002. If you visited CDRLabs during that time, you would have read the news and threads about this drive showing up on store shelves.

No, I guess its my fault for being stupid since I visit this forum daily ! and the store I bought it at is usually on the leading edge when it comes to hardware and I was in a rush to get drive to replace my old one and the fact that this is prberly my last CDRW drive I will get until the DVDRW lowers in price.
