Sorry for so many questions, but I am new to this great msg board:
when do you guys use Cd-RW's? When I 1st started burning CD's I was all about CD-RW. However, I stopped using them a few months afterwards because:
1) I started getting wierd read errors using DirectCD, where a CD-RW would be unreadable after 25-30 reads/writes;
2) The CD-RW's are more expensive than CD-R's, and since I use them mostly for temporary back-up, I've opted for a 2nd drive to store that data far more reliably and conveniently;
3) It takes too long to format a CD-RW for use in non-mt. rainier systems, so it's not worth the hassle.
As a result I've only used my CD-RW drives to create CD-R back ups.
Your thoughts?
